BV Resorts is a Developer Of Luxury Hotels and Resorts.

BV Resorts (BVR) was founded in 2005 by Ted Gildred and Frank Stork with the intention of developing the highest-quality, lifestyle-driven real estate, with a focus on five-star hospitality and luxury residential projects. BV Resorts is the hospitality development arm of the Lomas Santa Fe Group, a 50-year-old real estate development company based in San Diego which has developed significant residential, commercial, industrial and retail developments throughout Southern California. The combined development team of BV Resorts and Lomas Santa Fe Group has several decades of development experience in the United States and Mexico. Since it’s inception in 2005, BV Resorts has developed and/or participated in several hospitality projects in the U.S. and internationally to include: Seramai in Baja California Sur, Mexico, Beran Resort in the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Proper Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Of these projects, the Seramai is bar far the most significant by size, quality and value. BV Resorts is lead by Ted Gildred and Frank Stork who together manage and operated the ongoing activities of the company along with a third principal, Jose Fimbres who is based in Mexico. They are supported by the Chief Financial Officer, Patrick Canals and the Director of Projects, Marcos Caligaris as well as multiple expert consultants in the areas of legal, engineering, architecture, tax structure and other areas of importance as required. BVR representatives in Mexico include: Hector Salamanca who is the on-site General Manager, Joseph Calabasa, the on-site engineer and joe Green and Rupert Mitchel who manage the on-site operations and security. BVR representative/partnerss in the Marshall Islands include Beran Resort CEO Martin Daly, Director of Operations Ramsey Reimers and the CFO, Romnick Garcia along with various other support staff.

Who Are We ?


Theodore Gildred is CEO of The Lomas Santa Fe Group and a Co-Founding Partner of BV Resorts. Prior to joining the Lomas Santa Fe Group, Mr. Gildred worked for Morgan Stanley as a member of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF). He also served as a member of the Latin American Corporate Finance Group in the European investment banking house of ING Barings in New York, focusing primarily on the real estate sector. He has studied in the U.S., Europe and Latin America, holds a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University. Before attending business school, Mr. Gildred served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps. He holds both U.S. and Mexican citizenship and speaks fluent Spanish. He is on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Americas and the San Diego Aerospace Museum.



Frank Stork is a Co-Founding Partner of BV Resorts. Mr. Stork has spent the past two decades focusing on entrepreneurial ventures and real estate development. In 1995, Mr. Stork moved to Central Europe as Co-Founder of Portico Development, a developer of a series of high profile commercial projects focused on cinemas and innovative entertainment related retail concepts. He was simultaneously CEO of Silver Screen World Cinemas, a privately held cinema exhibition operation. Mr. Stork Co-Founded The Global Film School, Inc., an online academic partnership. Previous professional experience includes investment banking at Drexel Burnham Lambert and leading the European division of a high-tech medical electronics company. A Dutch citizen who lived in both Spain and Mexico, he speaks fluent Spanish. Mr. Stork has a BA in Economics from Stanford University and received his MBA in International Business from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.



Patrick Canals has more than 15 years of finance experience working with international companies in Mexico and the U.S. Prior to joining BV Resorts, Mr. Canals was the Financial Director for the KOR Group. He led the accounting and finance divisions for the KOR Group’s Mexico developments and operations. He overviewed the tax, accounting and financial aspects for KOR business in the region. Prior to KOR, Mr. Canals was the CFO of the Luminaries Division of Philips Lighting Latin America. He led the financial operations of Philips in Central America and Mexico. Mr. Canals received an MBA in finance from TEC de Monterrey, and a Bachelor in Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana. He speaks fluent Spanish and English.



Jose Fimbres has more than a decade of real estate development and construction experience in Mexico. Mr. Fimbres has been instrumental in the success of the family business, Calimax, a Mexican supermarket chain. Mr. Fimbres was the lead project manager for the development of Calimax’s central distribution center, considered to be one of the most modern industrial buildings in Northern Mexico. Among numerous responsibilities at Calimax, Mr. Fimbres oversees the company’s real estate investments. His relationships and expertise have proven invaluable to Seramai’s development to date.



Seramai is an exclusive, low-density luxury resort situated on the Sea of Cortez. It will be anchored by a five star hotel and feature world-class amenities, including a Spa, 18-hole championship Golf Course, several destination Beach Clubs and Restaurants, a tennis club, and an Seramai yachting program. Seramai will also offer luxury residential villas for sale, ranging from four to six bedroom Villas and bay-front Custom Lots. Once launched, Seramai will become synonymous with innovative architecture, sustainable principles, and stunning, natural beauty.

Indies Trader Beran is the flagship resort and lynchpin for a master planned initiative to enable the transformation of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) into a world class tourism destination while resulting and developing a collection of the top resort’s in that region. This is the first of a series of sustainable, scaleable resorts within the Republic. Luxurious yet cost effective designs for Indies Trader Beran are intended to be sustainable and smart, cost effective and light on the land, and should enable quick, strategic growth for the resort, rapid expansion within the region for the partners and control and reduce capital expenditure risks.
