There is more to Los Angeles than palm trees and movie stars, which is hardly a secret these days. Since its humble beginnings as El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula’ (or LA for short), the city of angels has been the ultimate melting pot for the westward and the wayward.
The Hotel
Our historic building on the corner of Broadway and 11th street was first home to the LA Press Club and then the Case Hotel. When it reopens as Downtown LA Proper Hotel it will boast 148 guest rooms, two ground floor restaurants, two unique presidential suites as well as a rooftop with restaurant, bar and swimming pool.
The "New" Downtown
Not too long ago, Los Angeles was known as a city without a center. Times have changed. Over the last decade, Downtown LA has emerged as the cultural capital of Los Angeles proper. Welcome to the oldest ‘new’ downtown in America.
